Title: Mario Kart Wii

The Good:

I have been playing Mario Kart since the good ol’ days of SNES, N64, GameCube, and Nintendo DS, all of them excellent games. If you haven’t played them, download an emulator and get started! The game-play is short, fast, and executed well. You can jump in and out of races quickly making it easy to fit into your busy lifestyle. The game is especially fun with your friends Grand Prix mode, which is the standard solo races, except allows up to 4 friends and computers to play. Battle Mode where you fight to destroy other peoples balloons, while trying to rack up the most points. Coin mode is when you battle for the most coins, the only way to gather more coins is by destroying your enemy and stealing theirs. The game brings back a lot  of good memories, all those long hours on the SNES. One of the major new additions to the game are tricks, you can wiggle your wii-mote while in the air to do some neat moves. Along with that you can also now pick custom cars, which is a neat new feature. They now offer motorcycles which allow you to do wheelies oooo…! Gone..is the annoying 2nd character in your car from the Mario Kart: Double Dash version (Thank goodness).

Title: Condemned 2: Bloodshot
Condemned 2

The Good:

After resigning from the FBI in the first game, Ethan Thomas is now leading a life of homelessness and alcoholism. When city wide violence and mass hysteria arise in the homeless community, Ethan is recruited back into the SCU to figure out what is going on, after is old mentor Vanhorn calls him for help. Many of the same characters come back into play in this game, some taking on a more important role then before. Bloodshot is a great follow-up to the first game. The story line just gets better with time. The series of events that take place are well spaced, and give you just what you need to keep your interest up and the controller in your hand. Not only that but if you like scary movies you will definitely like this game. There is just enough scary stuff to keep you on your toes at every turn, but not so much that you have to take a breather after each chapter.  This game will give you nightmares!  Another great part to this game is the intense action. The game allows you to pick up almost anything and use it as a weapon and if your timing is right, pull off some sweet moves. Homeless men coming at you from all angles most to crazed out to care if they die. For all of you CSI fans you will love this game, there are parts in the game where you become the investigator and must solve the puzzle before you. By using your investigative skills you will determine killers, victims, and much more.

Title: Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasurezak wiki

The Good:

When I first saw this game I thought to myself, this is just another lame game created by Nintendo to keep their younger gamers happy.  They created some random character and his little sidekick to go up against the big bad pirate to get some crazy treasure. But then something caught my attention, the description of the game stated that it is a puzzle solving game.  I do like puzzles, so why not give it a chance.  I soon found that this game is not for any ordinary puzzle solver.  The game begins by having you help this legendary pirate, Barbaros, restore him to his old self by collecting his body parts throughout the levels.  Barbaros promises to lead Zack to Treasure Island and give him his ship.  Armed with your friend wiki, a little furry flying friend who can turn into a bell at the shake of the wii-mote is your only source of a weapon.  You turn enemies into useful items to help you on your journey to collecting the many pieces of Barbaros. So of course all pirates lie, so when Barbaros is all put back together again, he turns on Zack.  Zack must now defeat Barbaros to receive what was promised to him by the old pirate.
