The Good:

I will start off by saying this is one of the greatest games I have ever played. An awesome female main character? Check. Lots of guns? Check. Many fun puzzles? Check. Amazing story line? check. Tomb Raider has everything a mid-core gamer needs in a video game. The story begins with some past information about the Croft family. Lara feels responsible for her mothers disappearance because after a sudden plane crash, she and her mother found themselves to be the only survivors. While exploring their surroundings they find a stone dais that Lara somehow activates, causing her mom to vanish into thin air. Lara is confused and holds a deep guilt about her mothers disappearance for years, until she decides to return to the temple and solve the mystery. From here you enter the ride of your life, a battle to the finish line. Defeating the final boss and acquiring the long lost sword of Excalibur.

The Bad:

There are very little bad things to say about this game. The number one bad thing on the list is that the game is to short! Even a mid-core gamer will be longing for more. I know that when I reached the end it left me feeling the need for more puzzles, strategy, and bosses. I didn’t feel like my job was done. The other minor thing is the boss battles could sometimes be a bit confusing, and you may need to briefly look up a strategy guide.

Closing:

Buy this game, I don’t care if you buy it for PS2, PSP, PC, or XBOX 360. The game is flipping amazing, and at the current price its a steal! I think Crystal Dynamics did an excellent job with this game and brought it to back to its prime. Soo…Buy it now, Then when your done with this, buy Tomb Raider: Anniversary edition and get caught up in the original Tomb Raider.
