Today I am writing a mid-core gamer review for Tomb Raider: Legend for the 360. You can read more about my reviews in my first review here.

Title: Tomb Raider: Legend
tomb raider legend

The Good:

I will start off by saying this is one of the greatest games I have ever played. An awesome female main character? Check. Lots of guns? Check. Many fun puzzles? Check. Amazing story line? check. Tomb Raider has everything a mid-core gamer needs in a video game. The story begins with some past information about the Croft family. Lara feels responsible for her mothers disappearance because after a sudden plane crash, she and her mother found themselves to be the only survivors. While exploring their surroundings they find a stone dais that Lara somehow activates, causing her mom to vanish into thin air. Lara is confused and holds a deep guilt about her mothers disappearance for years, until she decides to return to the temple and solve the mystery. From here you enter the ride of your life, a battle to the finish line. Defeating the final boss and acquiring the long lost sword of Excalibur.

Hello everyone from DCEmulation.com,

My name is 007Cheater and I’m the creator and owner of DCEmulation.com, a previous staff member has *hacked* the old site by destroying everything on dcemulation.com and moved it to his own servers without permission. Not only is this illegal and I will be pursuing legal action if not resolved, this is extremely disrespectful to me the creator of DCEmu and the willful host of DCEmu for many years.

I trusted this individual very much and everything he has done is deceitful, hateful, and disrespectful. I am in the process of bringing the site back to its original state, if you know anything about this matter or would like to help please contact me at seany187 (at) seanbryant.com.

The IRC Channel has also been taken over, please visit the original channel irc.cheatlist.com channel #dcemu, the channel #dcemulation is a fraud!

Today I am writing a mid-core gamer review for Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii. You can read more about my reviews in my first review here.

Title: Super Smash Bros. Brawl
super smash bros

The Good:

I have heard many good things about the Super Smash Bros. games. Before this edition came out on the Wii, I had personally never played it. The game, for the most part, goes so fast and so frenzied that you feel like you are on drugs, yet that’s what makes it fun, very fun, especially with your friends. Between the insane attacking, dying, jumping to safety, and barely surviving the pummel from your friends, the battles are extremely enjoyable. The single player/co-op mode adds a lot to the game, because you and a buddy are able to play together for the common goal while unlocking multiple characters in the process. Seeing some of the cool characters like Solid Snake, Sonic, and Fox is also a nice addition to Super Smash Bros. Brawl which I have heard were not in the originals! The single player campaign reminds me of the good ol’ days of Double Dragon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Golden Axe. Overall, I’d say the game is really fun for short periods of time.

Today I am writing a mid-core gamer review for Army Of Two for XBOX 360 and PS3. I will be focusing on the XBOX 360 version, but they are very similar. You can read more about my reviews in my first review here.

Title: Army Of Two

The Good:

Most of the reviews floating around the internet rate this game very badly. I think they are rating this game based on its single player value far to much. A mid-core gamer is all about co-op, and this game is co-op at it’s finest! From the training to the missions. The story line was below average, very minimal, and it didn’t really keep my attention, it goes something like: You are contractors who do killing jobs for money, the more money you make the better weapons and upgrades you can buy. You end up getting setup and finally starting your own business. You get a major addrenneline rush from playing as a team, one member going right the other flanking left working together to take down the enemies. The game play, reminds me of the Gears of War days. When your buddy dies, you have the ability to drag him to safety and heal him. The rush of getting shot at while trying to drag your partner out alive makes the game totally worth it and extremely entertaining.

Today I am writing a mid-core gamer review for Devil May Cry 4 for XBOX 360 and PS3. I will be focusing on the XBOX 360 version, but they are very similar, minus load times. You can read more about my reviews in my first review here.

Title: Devil May Cry 4

The Good:

Devil May Cry 3 was the first and only Devil May Cry game I had played, until now. My first experience with the Devil May Cry series, I found to be very hard and frustrating at times, definitely not something for the mid-core crowd. However, Devil May Cry 4 is very much that of what a mid-core gamer would like to experience. The game has a good amount of cut-scenes, which I love, providing the player with some much needed entertainment. Devil May Cry 4 begins with the main character(nero),aka YOU, in a church listening to some music. Without any warning a guy that resembles Dante, from Devil May Cry 3, jumps down and kills the priest. This is the point at which you jump into the game and begin your journey as the character. The combat is simple and fun, a lot of button mashing combos, although nothing that a mid-core gamer can’t handle. The levels move quickly, and the puzzles are simple and fun. The boss battles are intense and extremely entertaining, after beating them you scream out, “Heck YES!, Booya!” because you feel really accomplished.

Today I am writing a mid-core gamer review for Simpsons the new one that just came out for XBOX 360 and PS3, for this review I am using the XBOX 360 version but they are very similar. You can read more about my reviews in my first review here.

Title: The Simpsons GAME

The Good:

Ahhh, just sitting here at my computer, when I began to reminisce about the original Simpsons game, Bart’s Nightmare. I’m sure most of you recall the game where you go through all these wacky dreams,  walking through the streets looking for papers. This version was extremely addictive and at the same time frustrating. Lucky for us this game did not follow in the footsteps of its predecessor. The new Simpsons Game is extremely fun, especially when playing in COOP(Cooperative Play) mode. The graphics are beautiful and true to the Simpsons television show. The game-play is simple, they make it easy to pickup and play and or put down at any time. The game in many ways reminds me of Toe Jam and Earl, the original for Sega Genesis; Funky and fun, work as a team fighting enemies, trying to make it to the end of the game in one piece. Each character has its own special abilities, Homer was able to blow up and roll over things, while Bart’s slingshot did some major damage. I found these two characters to be my favorite, and they had  most useful powers. But like a said it’s definitely a team effort.
